Tony Barba will be teaching the Horace Silver classic “Song For My Father.” Themes explored will be an introduction to playing bossa nova/latin rhythms in the rhythm section, improvising using the blues scale in conjunction with chord tones and chord scales, and techniques for improvising over an irregular song form (AAB).
